Dumb and Dumber...

Dumb and Dumber...

While we were still at sea, sailing back to Florida, Neil let me know he had arrived in Ft Lauderdale. Arriving a day before Remy, he was on his own for the first night. Apparently, he found a pub or two. Seems like he also enjoyed a little time by the pool at the Hilton. The hotel was straight across from the port, which was very convenient.

Our ship arrived pre-dawn. Remy forwarded this photo and said he could see us… creepy. But anyway, the guys headed toward the ship and had an experience I never heard of before. They said that the porter approached them and said, “that’s my job” meaning to take the baggage. Before taking, I was told, the porter said, “never mind, you take it” … turned and walked away. The story surprised me. Now I kind of wonder if they had crazy luggage or if they were already drunk… something…

Knowing that Roxanne’s family and the village idiots were boarding, I wanted at the Sea View bar. Of course, I waited a very long time before they finally made their way. Had it been me, I would have gone immediately to the assigned bar and then announced I was hungry… at least shown my face. That didn’t happen, but at least I had a nice view and bartenders I was already friends with!

Lucky Roxanne had her family aboard. They all enjoyed lunch in the… buffet. I actually had to stop myself from saying “the trough” as Barry calls it. Having shared my location with a couple of people, I felt it best to stay put but I was happy to see Roxy and little Tayler!

Now that the family was getting settled, Roxanne had a few minutes to visit Christina in Good Spirits. We had an espresso martini to get us through the rest of the day! Technically, I am now on day eight, thought it is day one of the second leg. It’s nice to do the B2B because we have access to our cabins early, have already made friends with crew and are settled into our sea home!

Goodness… I definitely am missing my time with my normal husband! Dumb and Dumber came to Good Spirits with the absurd Hyatt uniforms. While the Hyatt is run into the ground, wearing these shirts becomes all the more funny… but I still don’t plan to wear one. (Watch, I will weaken in the next 14 days and end up in a photo with one of these hideous shirts!!!).

Weather was perfect, passengers were festive and we were off to our next leg on the ship! We connected with another group of family cruisers… I told them my friends were getting married so every time I saw them, they asked how the wedding went… so far, after twenty four hours, I have not been able to get the wedding to occur. But I am definitely still trying. As each day passes, more people want to be invited to the “wedding”…
