Arriving in Dubrovnik at 8am, we started slow and disembarked around 9:30. You know, you don’t want to get too early of a start! In about two weeks, I will be meeting Barry here. We will be staying for three or four days. This changed the way I explored the area….
Chapter Two begins! With our land travel complete, we begin our sea travel onboard Majestic Princess. Within hours of boarding, we received a knock at the door. Roxanne had won a bouquet of flowers! Great start to our ten-day cruise.
We made it… getting up early, we jumped on the regional train. It was so much better than expected. We had plenty of room to sit AND for our suitcases! One night in Trieste and on to “Part Two” of our journey!

After an action-packed visit to Florence, it is time to move on to Venice.
With the day only have finished… we crossed the famous Ponte Vecchio (old bridge). It was extremely crowded (a pickpocket’s dream!). Lined with jewelry shops, I barely stopped to take photos because I didn’t want to be caught off guard. Instead, a single photo from the top of the bridge…

Florence is the capital of the Tuscany region. Since we have time, we decided to check out some of the nearby areas.
What is a visit to Florence without delicious pizza!?!?!? So far, every meal has been incredible… wine is flowing… people are amazingly friendly. At a nearby eatery, this pizza had a nice, thick crust and the cheesiest cheese!
