Inverness, UK

First sight… we arrived in Invergordon, the nearest port to Inverness. Openng my eyes, this was the first thing I saw! Such beautiful terrain. Check out the cute town! *** and yes, we sleep with the sliding door open! The sound of waves = good sleep!

Port stop turned Sea Day...

Apparently, I overdid it downloading photos and gmail shut me down for “unusual activity”. Don’t they know me yet? It’s been a LONG time of me and travel photos! Anyway, back up and running… After an exhausting day in Northern Ireland, we decided not to take the tender to shore. I know! We should have visited Glasgow but it was a tender and a bus… just didn’t have it in me!

Belfast Trifecta... Part Three

Our third and final stop for the day… Carrick-a-rede Bridge… Our fun begins with a 1.25 mile walk along this beautiful coastline. Again, flowers blooming and the terrain very green. Booking ahead to ensure free parking, we basically committed ourselves to this visit.

Belfast Trifecta... Part Two

Next stop on our one day journey… Giant’s Causeway. Wow! We had a cruise booked in this same area but it was canceled during Covid shutdown. This was on our list of “must see” locations. From the port, it is about an hour and a half drive… roundabout after roundabout… narrow two lane roads. Despite being narrow, the speed limit was usually 60km. My unsuredness had me going slower than most so I was constantly being passed. That’s fine… we made it safe and sound.

Belfast Trifecta... Part One

To be honest… I’ve never seen “Game of Thrones”… but I love travel. I love “kodak moments” and I love to see iconic settings. That was ALL accomplishied today! Our day began on Bregagh Rd…

Sunny Cobh Afternoon

One of our favorite towns… small and cozy Cobh, Ireland. As a port stop, it’s perfect because we pull right into the action. Check out what a cute town this is!

Portland... Weymouth, England

Our first day and almost every day from here on out, will be port stops. We usually select itineraries with very few stops because we enjoy the relaxing pace of sea days. First stop… Port of Portland. We decided against booking a tour because nothing really appealed to us. We will just enjoy wandering around. Down along the beach, we passed by this Merry-Go-Round.
