After a fun day in Cork, Ireland… we headed back to the ship. On our return journey, we passed this park full of birds. Sunny days and warm weather bring out people and birds!
As we crossed the Atlantic, we moved our clocks forward an hour… six times! We found ourselves sleeping later and later. On this day, when we got up there was a Captain’s party going full swing. Champagne and Mimosa’s on the fifth floor. Downstairs in the Centrum, the Captain iced a giant sized cake…
We are SO behind in posting! With crazy weather and very poor internet, it was frustratingly impossible. We shall be catching up in the upcoming days... For now, continue with us on our journey through Ponta Delgada, starting with the St Sebastian Clocktower. These birds sit high above keeping a watchful eye on the town center.
Day Nine… finally reached land! Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel Island, is the administrative capital of the Azores. Not our first time here, we expected warm, sunny weather. Instead my view from the cabin was gray and misty.
With so many sea days and an abundance of free time, I decided this was as good a time as any to start an online photography course. Hoping to learn a few tricks, I’ll practice once we reach land :-)
The start of spring break brings a whole new cast of characters in the cruise world...
Always excited to arrive at a port, I jump out of bed and look off the balcony... as Barry sleeps. My exuberance rarely stirs him.. Nassau, on the port side of the ship, offered a beautiful view of Paradise Island. The best part? It was sunny and clear! The rain was gone!
We got in as much as we could with only a short couple of hours... Old phone booths added to the historical feeling in Southampton. Of course, I couldn't just pass it by... I had to jump in and ham it up! Wouldn't you???
